The wash is the least important thing we do to your car.

A three-phase decontamination and full valet for cars that don’t belong in a car wash. One vehicle at a time, in the bay, over four days. R5,900.

Bays are booked one car at a time. We’ll confirm availability by return.

20 cars in residence. The Vault holds what Pretoria’s collectors don’t leave outside.

One at a time. No queue, no conveyor, no shared water.

Every car photographed on arrival. Panel by panel, before anything touches it.

You already know what happens at the car wash.

A sponge that did a bakkie an hour ago. A single bucket. Someone’s ring against the door edge. The swirl marks don’t show in the shade — they show at 4pm on Jan Smuts, in the sun, in the one light where the paint was supposed to look its best.

So you stop taking it. It sits under the cover and gets dusty instead.

The problem isn’t that good detailing doesn’t exist in Pretoria. It’s that you can’t tell, from the outside, which one is which — and the cost of being wrong is a respray.

Three phases, because one wash can’t do three different jobs.

Snow foam across the wheel and paint of a Porsche

Phase One

Touchless removal

Nothing touches the paint until the paint is safe to touch. Pre-soak, snow foam dwell, pressure rinse. Every scratch a wash puts into a car happens because someone skipped this and dragged the grit across the clear coat with a mitt.

Phase Two

Chemical decontamination

Iron fallout dissolves and runs off the panel — brake dust bonded into the clear coat that a wash will never remove. Tar and adhesive off with dedicated solvents.

Phase Three

Contact wash

Two buckets, grit guards, fresh media per panel, pH-neutral shampoo. Panel by panel, top down. Air-blown first — into the shuts, badges, grille — so nothing gets wiped into the paint. Then plush drying on paint that’s already clean and lubricated.

Then the valet. Wheel faces, arches, calipers. Exhaust tips, door shuts, fuel filler, boot seals. Engine bay dressed to suit the car. Interior detailed throughout — carpets and seats deep-cleaned, vents and switchgear detailed, leather cleaned and conditioned, glass streak-free inside and out.

Four days on one car. Not a dozen in rotation.

Condition report
Photographed. Yours to keep.
Four full days
Your car, alone, in the bay

The condition report is the part clients don’t expect. We photograph what we find — stone chips, swirl marks, kerbed rims, the wear you stopped noticing three years ago. No obligation attached. Most owners have never seen their car documented properly.

If it isn’t right, it doesn’t leave.

You inspect the car with us before you take it. In the light, not in the dark. If anything isn’t to standard, it goes back in the bay and we fix it that day — you don’t pay for a second visit and you don’t pay to be told you’re being fussy.

You’re probably thinking:

It isn’t a wash — it’s four days of one person’s full attention on one car, plus the chemistry and the equipment. Set it against a paint correction after a bad wash puts swirls through the clear coat and it’s the cheapest thing you’ll do to the car this year. If you want a wash, there’s one on every corner, and they’re R150.

Every car is photographed on arrival, panel by panel, before anything touches it. You get that record. We’re insured, and we know what a stone chip costs to fix properly.

No. The wash is the wash, and the price is the price. We’ll show you what the condition report finds, and if you want to do something about it, we can. If you don’t, your car is still clean and you still owe us R5,900 and nothing else. We’ve built a business on people trusting us with cars they can’t replace. That doesn’t survive a hard sell.

Four days with the car. You drop it off at the start and we give you a collection day — the work sets the pace, not the clock. If your car lives at The Vault, it doesn’t move at all.

It’s expensive, and it’s meant to be.

R5,900 buys four days of one person’s attention on one car. It doesn’t get cheaper if you book more of them and there’s no version with fewer steps.

If that number is the deciding factor, we’re the wrong people, and that’s a fine outcome for both of us. If you’ve ever paid to have swirl marks polished out of a car you love, you already know what this is worth.
